Usually I have no luck at competitions but I enter anyway because you have to be in it to win it right! One night I saw Maybelline were having a baby lips giveaway on their Instagram.

I used to be obsessed with their lip balms three years ago so I reposted the photo not thinking anything of it. A week later I had a private message saying I won! I called up my boyfriend because I was so excited and yelled out to my mum.

I wanted to do a post on this to not only show you the goodies I am so grateful that I received but I wanted to thank Maybelline for doing constant giveaways giving us beauty addicts the opportunity to try out their products. Also to let you all know that if you've never won a giveaway keep trying because you never know, you might win.

I was always iffy about buying from Gerard Cosmetics because of the negativity surrounding their company however I noticed they had a special on so I thought I'd take the opportunity to try some of their lipsticks.

I made two orders because after I chose out three my mum decided she wanted some other shades. So now I have 6 of their lipsticks with another two on the way (I will adress this soon!). The shades I have are 1995, Rodeo Drive, Vintage Rose, Buttercup and Nude x2.

I live in Australia and ordered off Gerard's site, the day after I made my orders I received a confirmation email and a tracking number. It took about two weeks for the lipsticks to arrive. I received one package before the other, because I bought them in two separate transactions, and unfortunately two of the three lipsticks were damaged at the base and squashed into the lid. I sent Gerard Cosmetics an email alerting them of this and attached images asking if they wanted me to return the damaged lipsticks so I could get a refund. The next day I got an email back saying they would send out two new lipsticks and I could keep the damaged ones. I was extremely impressed by their fast response and great customer service. I know some people have had issues with them but I was fortunate my experience has been nothing but positive. The next day I received my other set of three lipsticks and thankfully they were all fine.

These lipsticks obviously are not as good as MAC lipsticks but for the price they are really good. You'd expect MAC to be better anyway because of the price! Since its getting warmer here in Australia I keep them in the fridge otherwise they do go soft. The matte shades aren't drying on me as long as I apply lip balm before hand and they last a good amount of time.

I probably won't be making another order with them anytime soon only because I already have 6 of their lipsticks and don't really need anymore right now. If you're thinking to try out their lipsticks I recommend that you do when they have codes/specials. Check their instagram account to find these!

My favourite shade is Vintage Rose because its one of those 'my lips but better' shades.

I just wanted to write this quick review to give Gerard Cosmetics the praise they deserve based off my experience. Thank you for reading.

UPDATE
I received the two replacement lipsticks today and was extremely happy to notice there was a pen and an envelope with my name on it in the package. They wrote me a little message and it completely made my day (I had a bad day today). Neither of the lipsticks were damaged whatsoever. Their customer service is amazing and I recommend them 100% if you're interested!

As my first ever blogpost I thought it was fitting to let you all know what my favourite foundation is. Since the base is the first thing you perfect before doing the rest of the makeup it made sense to start there.

For a year now I have been loving the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. I should probably begin with explaining my skin type so if you are interested in this foundation you can figure out if it will work for you. My skin is mainly normal but can get dry (after having skin treatments my skin has changed). I also have redness and scarring from old acne scars so I prefer something that provides me with a lot of coverage to hide that. This foundation claims to be a primer, concealer and foundation all in one. Personally I always put a primer to have a barrier between my skin and makeup but the lasting power always amazes me. The coverage is probably an 8.5 on my skin and it does not wear off throughout the day or night.

Last year I chose to wear this foundation at my graduation ball, despite it having SPF 20, I didn't flash back. Nor did I get shiny.

When I need something full coverage to last me all day I always choose this foundation. I've tried it in the summer months and I don't get shiny, however keep in mind my skin is not oily, and in the winter months when my skin is dryer I add moisture into it by applying it with a damp beauty sponge. I apply this foundation both with a sponge and brush and they give me similar results. A brush probably adds slightly more coverage quicker than a damp beauty sponge does.

This foundation proves you do not need to splurge on highend foundations to get amazing coverage and lasting power. It has been said to be a dupe for the famous doublewear foundation. This foundation is a gem as it does all that at a much more affordable price.

Thank you for reading my first post and I hope it was interesting or helpful in some way!
