Sunday marks a new week so here's my next featured brand! One of my all time favourite brands whether it be high-end or drugstore is Maybelline. I have so many Maybelline products in my makeup collection so here is a full review on each item I own, including swatches.

Eyes
Master Precise Liquid Liner
I love the applicator and how easy to use this liner is. This is the best liquid liner I have ever tried however it smudges on me. This usually happens after 4 hours of wear so I can get away with it looking perfect for a short amount of time.

Brow drama
This is a newer product for me. I picked it up when Priceline had their 40% off cosmetics sale. Between now and then I have used it three times and I am liking it so far. Benefit gimme brow is my all time favourite however since going blonde its been too dark for me. Hopefully this lives up to it and I will let you all know after I try it out some more.

Master Shape eyebrow pencil
I love using this pencil when I want to quickly draw on my eyebrows and thats it. For me this was a one step brow product that was quick and easy to use as it has the pencil on one side and brush (spoolie) on the other end. The only downfall with this product is that it is really creamy so you use it up fast. Other than that the staying power and shade of it is perfect.

Eyestudio quad Copper Chic
These shadows are very pigmented and super blendable. Maybelline make some of the best shimmery shadows I have tried from the drugstore, plus these shades help make blue eyes pop! The only downfall is that there are no matte shades within the quad.

Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Mascara
When I first got this mascara I loved it. It gives a lot of length and separates your lashes leaving them clump free. I don't really reach for this mascara no more as I have others I prefer. If you prefer length over volume I suggest this one.

The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
After falling in love with the original one I thought this would be a great mascara to get in the waterproof version so I can wear it at the beach. I have blonde eyelashes and sometimes at the beach if I want to look a bit more put together I will apply this. This is usually the only mascara I will use in Summer when I go away because it lasts all day and does not smudge.

Great Lash Mascara
Another new purchase. I have blue eyes and wanted a basic brown mascara. At the Priceline sale this is the only one I could find at my store so I picked it up, knowing shaaanxo loves it. So far I have been loving this mascara for my bottom lashes. I never used to put mascara on my bottom lashes and I find black is too harsh for me and usually flakes but this makes them look natural and doe
s not smudge at all. I have this in the waterproof version. This will most likely be coming with me this Summer!

Eyestudio Gel Liner
Unlike the liquid liner Maybelline's gel liner lasts longer on me without smudging. When I wear it I do experience some transfer to my bottom lash line, no idea how, however this is after 7 or so hours. Out of all eyeliners I own this is my favourite!

Color Tattoo - barely branded
I use this as a base for all light shimmery eyeshadows. It makes the colour much brighter and last a lot longer. The only negative I find is that whenever I try wearing it alone it creases on my eyelids.

Lips
L-R: peach, cherry, mixed berry, blush essence, vibrant mandarin, vivid rose, lust for blush, petal rebel, mat7 and nude perfection
Bold Matte lipstick Mat7 Nude
This is my favourite nude lipstick I own! It is comfortable to wear and has good lasting power. It is not a drying matte at all and does not emphasise dry lips whatsoever. Whenever I wear it people ask me what lipstick I am wearing and I always recommend it to people that are looking for a nude lipstick.

Colorwhisper Petal Rebel and Lust For Blush
By the end of this section of the review you will have noticed that Maybelline lip products are my absolute favourite and I could not say enough good things about them.
Like every other lip product I own I love these as well. They provide a sheer wash of colour that is still opaque enough to be noticed. Lust for blush is a natural 'my lips but better' shade that I've almost used up completely because its my go-to when I want something simple on my lips.
Petal Rebel is a soft bright pink shade and I love wearing it in Summer when I have a tan. It is an easy colour to wear that you can apply without a mirror because you'll know its going to look good. Compared to the other lipsticks these lean towards a balm for me because they are so moisturising.

Colorsensational Vibrant Mandarin and Vivid Rose
These are the only two bright lip colours I own in my lipstick collection because Maybelline knocked it out of the park with these! They are very long wearing and after the glossy finish wears off it leaves a stain on the lips that lasts through eating and drinking.

The Elixir Blush Essence
I'm not a lipgloss wearer but this is one I do reach for. It isn't too sticky like some glosses can be. It's the perfect every day colour and very comfortable to wear.

Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil Nude Perfection
Love, love, love this. This lip pencil is not dryer whatsoever even though it is a matte finish. The colour is so similar to velvet teddy however I prefer this over velvet teddy (MAC lipstick for those of you who may not know, however everyone and their mum has heard of it!). It doesn't settle into any of the lines in my lips and doesn't emphasise dryness. I don't know why I still only own one of these.

Baby Lips*
Candy Wow: peach, cherry & mixed berry*
My favourite shade of these three is peach. In the swatch above you will notice it is a soft light pink shade. They are moisturising and really easy to use as they are in a stick form. I like to keep them in my pencil case and handbag!

SPF 20 Lip Balm: lychee addict, anti-oxidant berry & mango pie*
4 years ago I used to be OBSESSED with these. They were my go-to lip balms. I am waiting to use up my other lip balms before opening these and falling back in love.

Electro Pop: berry bomb, pink shock & oh! Orange!*
I have not opened or tried these yet.

Color Lip Balm: berry crush, rose addict, pink lolita & cherry kiss*
I have not opened or tried these yet.

Face

Fit Me Foundation
I have this in the original formula. I love using this foundation to mix with my matte foundations to change the finish. When I wear it on its own it is too dewy for me (personal preference) and I find it can oxidise. It provides a medium coverage which can be built up. If applied with a beauty sponge it gives a more sheer we coverage.
Fit Me Concealer
This is my holy grail concealer! On my "no-makeup makeup" days I apply this all over my face and it provides the perfect amount of coverage without looking cakey. It covers any blemishes as well as my dark circles. Although I find that if I do not set this concealer under my eyes it will crease on me. I am on my 4th tube and loving it.
Instant Age Rewind Eraser
I've used up one of these so far and I really like layering it with another concealer for my undereyes. The shade I got looks too white under my eyes on its own so I pair it with my fit me concealer. My mum loves this concealer, she's on her 3rd or 4th one. Shoutout to her because she reads these posts lol.

Fit Me Shine Free Foundation
Unlike any other product I've owned this one did nothing but disappoint me. Unfortunately this did not sit well on my skin and looked really cakey no matter how I applied it or how long I buffed it in for. I really like the quick and compact idea they had for it because it is an ideal product to quickly apply and go however this was a miss for me. I'm using this up because I refuse to throw it out. As you can see in the picture it's almost finished 🙌

Fit Me Powder
I haven't used this powder in so long but I have used up two whole ones. Two years ago and last year it was my holy grail powder. Now I leave it in my bag to touch up however my skin has become dryer lately due to treatments so I don't reach for a powder too often. If you apply it with the puff it comes with it adds extra coverage however if you use a large powder brush it sets your makeup without looking cakey and I don't find it adds any coverage this way. It has fine glitter particles throughout it however I have not found this to transfer onto my face resulting in me looking like a fairy princess. I think I am going to take it out of my bag and start using it again to set my foundation.

What I have previously owned:
Colossal Cat Eye Mascara
This was my go-to mascara when I didn't want to curl my lashes. It has a scooped wand that helps lift and curl the lashes however it was not a long wearing mascara. It did start to flake on me and smudge towards the end of the day.
SuperStay Concealer
This was one of my first ever concealers years ago and I went through three tubes of it. I really loved it to cover blemishes however I converted and fell in love with the fit me concealer now. It was a fast drying concealer.
One by One Mascara
When I was in highschool this was my holy grail mascara. It added enough definition to my lashes that I was able to get away with wearing it at school. It separated and lengthened them rather than giving them volume.
Regular The Falsies Mascara
A really good basic mascara for volume and length. I enjoyed using this mascara and have repurchased it in the waterproof version.
Dream Smooth Primer
The first primer I ever owned. Back then I didn't notice the purpose or difference primer made so I don't really remember how well it worked for me.

Disclaimer: items marked with a * were sent to me as I won a competition. All opinions are my own as always.
Lately I noticed my hair looking more yellow than usual. My father is a hairdresser but instead of dying it again I thought to trial a purple shampoo so I could let you all know how it went for me. Before getting into my thoughts and the actual review here is what the actual shampoo that I chose looks like:

My hair journey in pictures while using this product

Before and after

Now onto my actual opinion on this product!

Price: AUD$14-$18

Packaging:
The squeeze tube makes it easy to get the amount of product you want out however if you open it upside down it will come out unexpectedly. And it will go everywhere, I learnt the hard way!

Scent:
It has a pleasant scent which lingers in the hair even after the shower. It's not too overpowering but if someone were to sniff your hair it will smell nice.
My boyfriend commented on how nice and clean my hair smelt whenever I'd used it.

Claims and recommendations:
  • The formula, containing Colour-Correcting Technology, neutralises brassy and yellow tones.
  • Containing Optical Brightening Technology, it absorbs UV light and emits white-blue light making colour treated hair appear brighter and salon-fresh.
  • Results are noticeable after just 3 uses.
  • For all shades of colour-treated or highlighted blonde hair
  • Gentle enough for every day use
How I used it and my opinions:
The first week I used this shampoo I did wash my hair three times in one week but then I went back to my normal routine of washing my hair twice a week.

I left it to sit in my hair for 5-15minutes before rinsing it out and continuing with my normal conditioner. Before getting out of the shower I'd do a final rinse with cold water. This is supposed to lock it in and help it be more effective according to directions I found online.

This shampoo never left my hair feeling dry, it was always soft with a nice scent to it. Please keep in mind I did not use the coordinating conditioner and it could be my own also adding to the softness of my hair. I always felt like this shampoo really did clean my hair and removed any excess oils or build up in my hair.

If you were to use this daily I'd assume it would feel drying as if you shampoo your hair every day with any shampoo you're removing your natural oils.

I also do not think it made my hair less brassy after three uses however I did notice my blonde was brighter and a lot less dull looking. By the 3rd wash people were asking me if I had gone blonder but it was all thanks to John Freida!

The fifth wash was when I personally really noticed a change to my hair colour. More so when I was in the shade. It finally looked more ashy and not yellow at all. I was so impressed that I took heaps of selfies with my new and improved hair.  I stopped after the 6th wash because the colour of my hair was to my liking so I switched to using this shampoo once a week to maintain the ashy shade.

This was my first purple shampoo I ever tried so I don't have anything to compare it to but I was really impressed with it 😊If you're after "salon-fresh" looking hair that you can maintain yourself I highly recommend this one.

I thought it was about time I threw in a skin care review. I am constantly trying out different products to try reduce my redness and shorten my pimples lifespan. It's a lengthy process but there have been products I've noticed to help.

This is one of them. Before writing a review on any skin care product I like to completely use it up or use it for a long period of time that I can tell if it's changed my skins condition or not.

I suffer from hormonal acne which cannot be cured by a face wash so keep this in mind if you also have this type of acne. Luckily with the help of this cleanser those uninvited guests lifespan can be cut short.

I always used to apply tea tree oil to my larger pimples to dry them up quicker so I thought why not try a tea tree face wash.

The body shop have an entire tea tree skincare range and I chose this one without any prior knowledge on it.

I'm going to start out with the negatives I found as I could only find one. If I used this cleanser either
A) morning and night or
B) every night
I found my skin became really dry, not flaky, just dry and tight feeling. This is probably because my skin is inbetween normal to dry already. Something to keep in mind in case you want a tea tree cleanser and your skin is on the dryer side.

Now for the positives, the best part of reviews! Honestly most of the time I skip to the positives and compare the list to the negatives whenever reading reviews😂
  • Since it is a tea tree cleanser it did dry up existing spots faster than a non tea tree cleanser would. Tea tree is proven to kill bacteria
  • The Body Shop are against animal testing and use natural ingredients to protect our planet!
  • It foams up, this made cleaning my face a lot more fun!
  • The scent, personally I love the smell of tea tree
  • For a cleanser that does work the price is right (reference to the TV show, not funny?) at the price it retails for its not a skin care item that will leave my bank unhappy
  • Lasted me 7 or 8 months I didn't really keep count

I used this cleanser in conjunction with my clarisonic as well as on its own and it worked well both ways. If you struggle with stubborn acne I suggest you try this cleanser out as it cleared up mine a lot faster and it may work for you.

The drugstore has some hidden treasures and I am going share with you what I think you need in your life.

In no particular order I enjoy using each of these products equally, in saying this I will start off with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I feel like it's hard to find a good drugstore powder that actually keeps you matte and doesn't give you that powdery finish.

I like to pair this powder with dewy foundations to ensure the foundation will last longer. This keeps my dewy foundations matte for about 4 hours. Keep in mind I do not have oily skin this is just when I find the powder gives a less matte appearance.

I have the shade translucent so it provides no coverage and I have not yet found it to flash back.
Next powder up is the Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder. What a mouthful. I ALWAYS would struggle with undereye creasing and  my undereyes not looking bright. I dust this powder lightly and it keeps my undereyes crease free and bright. It has glitter particles throughout it however if I don't apply a lot these aren't noticeable.

Drugstore eyeshadows are a hit and miss. My absolute favourites are L'Oreal's Infallible Eyeshadows.

These are the most pigmented shimmery eyeshadows I have ever tried and last a full day on my eyelids without any primer. If you're someone that loves their shimmers definitely check out their range of colours in this line!
Bourjois Blush is next up. I'm not a big blush person as I have a lot of redness in my cheeks so I tend to avoid blush however when I do choose to apply it I reach for this one. It's a very pigmented product but applied lightly gives the prettiest wash of colour. I do own other drugstore blushes and this is my favourite by far.

As for foundation I decided to include an option for both oily and dry skin as well as light-medium coverage and full coverage.

I'm sure you have all heard the endless positive reviews the L'Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte has received. In one layer it covers all my redness and blemishes plus it lasts all day. I recommend this for those of you who have oily skin. If you have dry skin I still think you should give this a go however I have noticed it can look cakey if I don't use a moisturising primer or mix it.

That leads me into my next foundation must-have. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. This is a gift from heaven if you have dry skin. This foundation provides a healthy dewy finish to the skin that looks like your skin! You can build it up without it looking cakey and undetectable.

I like to mix these two foundations for a dewy full coverage finish that lasts hours.

Mascara is kind of a personal preference. But if you want to achieve length and separated lashes Rimmel Lash Accelarator is for you. I would have also included L'Oreal Telescopic however I've used that one completely up and need to buy another one. I love them both equally.

Chi Chi Lip Liners are the longest lasting, smudge proof and transfer free lip liners I have ever drawn upon my thin lips. My favourite is the shade 'It Girl' which is one of those my lips but better shades.

The best of the best drugstore lipsticks hands down goes to Maybelline. They're creamy, pigmented and comfortable on the lips. I recommend every lipstick range of theirs.

Colourpop can't be bought at a drugstore however the price they retail for makes them drugstore right?
Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips are the comfiest, non drying liquid lip formula I've tried. It also lasts me 5+ hours transfer free. I've eaten in these, drank water with it on and kissed my boyfriend to test if it really doesn't transfer. I am so amazed by these and definitely need to pick up more. Every time I've worn the shades midi or beeper I always get compliments on my lip colour and asked what it is.

Last but not least Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. This is my favourite concealer whether it be out of drugstore or high end. I even like using this as a foundation all over my face. It gives the perfect amount of coverage and actually lasts. If you need a new concealer go buy this one right now and thank me later :)

That brings me to the end of another post.
As always thank you for taking the time to read it and have a wonderful day xx

P.S. I stuck to brands you should be able to purchase no matter where you live. This just excludes the chi chi lip liner mentioned. I do also love Essence Lip Liners.
I know this isn't a new foundation and there are already many reviews on it but I thought I would join the bandwagon and say my opinion. Better late than never right?

My opinion
CONS
  • It does not come with a pump
  • Pricey
  • No SPF (may be a disadvantage for some people)
  • Feels tacky/sticky to the touch if not set with powder
  • Coverage started to fade on my "problem areas" after 7+ hours
PROS
  • Wide colour range
  • Packaged in a sleek glass bottle which looks very classy
  • No SPF
  • Long wearing
  • Medium to full coverage depending how you apply
  • Looks nice once applied- doesn't have a cakey finish that sits on the skin
  • Lightweight

To test out this foundation properly I wore it to work and for my birthday lunch. I had a 6 hour shift at work (fast food) so it was applied at 10AM. I then left it until 10pm which is 12 hours of wear. By the end of the night I was looking very glowy and the coverage on my cheeks had faded. The foundation lasted perfectly for 8 hours which is the perfect amount of time. It didn't sink into fine lines throughout the day, which is something I struggle with. I smile and laugh too much.

Thankfully the foundation had no flashback and after 7 hours of wear this is how my skin looked:
Personally I think it still looks good, I did a lot of smiling so that explains why my smile line looks slightly creased but thats about it. This foundation has less coverage than Double Wear or L'Oreal 24H-Matte however it does not claim to be full coverage. I really like how you can still see your own skin through it depending on how much you apply.

I will add that from a distance and in photos this foundation has a more dewy appearance however up close it is more satin-like. After 7 hours from a distance you aren't able to tell that the coverage has faded, I could just add powder on areas that faded and it will be good as new! Now its time to remove my makeup and do a nice face mask👌👌

Overall I really enjoy this foundation so far. I think this is the foundation I'll reach for when I have any events on and want my skin to look it's best without being cakey.

It's Wednesday which means it's time for another brand to be featured on my blog! This week I'm discussing all things NYX.

I was never able to get my hands on NYX until Target thankfully began stocking them two or so years back. Since then I've been trailing many products and it is definitely one of my favourite brands.

Número uno is their Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in the shade yellow. That is it's name and colour correcting is its game!
I purchased this because I was on the hunt for a green or yellow toned concealer or primer to help tone down the redness I have on my cheeks. At the time their green primer was sold out so I purchased this concealer, knowing nothing about it.

Personally I don't find this to be full coverage but it does provide me with the perfect amount of coverage to dull down my redness. I apply this before foundation on my cheeks with a foundation brush as I find a beauty blender sheers it out too much. When this is paired with foundation it covers all my redness completely and I definitely notice redness peaking through when I don't use it.

I have found that if I have any dry patches this concealer clings to them and if I apply too much it can look cakey. On the plus side this small container has lasted me 6 months + and it's still no where near hitting pan. When I want full coverage especially for covering redness this concealer is a must!!

Pore Filler Primer
This is my newest purchase of them all however I have had it for about 3 months. I'm the type of person that doesn't notice a massive difference when they use primer or they don't and I also don't have large pores.

In saying this I do notice that when I use this primer my face transforms into a smooth canvas ready for the rest of my makeup application. I like to use this primer when I have acne on my cheeks to create a less textured base.

Jumbo Pencils in the shades milk and yogurt
I had to purchase milk after hearing the countless positive reviews it was getting. It is the most multipurpose product I own. I've used it as an eyeshadow base which helps eyeshadows to appear more pigmented or true to colour, in my waterline or tearduct to help myself look more awake and as a brow bone highlight. Any Halloween looks I have done this also comes in handy! I cannot rave about this product enough and when it runs out I will definitely repurchase.
Since milk received nothing but love from me I got another jumbo pencil in the shade yogurt. My intentions for this was to quickly draw onto my eyelids and my simple everyday eyeshadow would be complete. I was wrong. I must have oily eyelids or something because this creases on me when I wear it alone. Using this as an eyeshadow base however does not crease and helps it stay on longer. I think I have to invest in an eyeshadow primer and test it on its own again.

As you can see in the swatch it's a gorgeous shimmery gold colour for all you neutral lovers like me. Overall I am a fan of the jumbo pencils especially milk!

Wonder Pencil
NYX claims that this product has multiple uses however I use it as a lip liner. You can apply it in your waterline or brow bone but I don't think it's a light enough colour to make my eyes brighter looking. As I mentioned above I do enjoy using it as a nude lip liner to help shape or overdraw my lips.

Eyebrow Cake Powder
Left: dark brown right: blonde
If I only could recommend you purchase one product from NYX it would definitely be their eyebrow cake powders!

Out of every brow product I've ever owned these are my holy grail. They have the perfect amount of pigmentation and do not leave your brows looking powdery at all. Whenever I use it I am always left with a soft natural finish that lasts me all day. It comes with a wax, two powder shades, a mini eyebrow brush and a mini angled brush. Personally I prefer using my own eyebrow brush as I find the one it comes with is too thick for my thin eyebrows.

I have it in two different shades because I used to have darker hair but now I've gone lighter. This is the only eyebrow product I've ever repurchased and I am in love with it. The darker shade I have had for two years and it is still going strong. I do use this every day I wear makeup as I have non-existent eyebrows. I will forever recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a good eyebrow powder. There are not enough nice things in the world to say about this product!

Matte Lipsticks
These were my first ever matte lipsticks as well as my first NYX products.

I did get them online and watched YouTube videos to help me choose the shades.

I chose pale pink because back then Shaaanxo was rocking that lip colour and I wanted to be just like her. The other shade natural I got because I didn't have many lipsticks back then. I think this was my first ever "nude" shade as well.
For some reason pale pink's formula is dryer than natural's when I apply it to my lips and even when swatching on my hand.

I never wear pale pink because the shade does not suit me at all but on the other hand I love wearing natural in the winter. It's the perfect pink/berry nude which can also look more brown toned in some lighting.
These aren't the most comfortable matte lipsticks I've ever worn but they aren't too drying. Nothing a little lip balm can't help.

Drum roll for the last NYX products... Their soft matte lip creams. Top to bottom: Tokyo, Istanbul and San Paulo.
For the longest time these were the only lip creams/liquid lip products I owned. I purchased one and instantly became obsessed so I got another two.

They're super comfortable to wear and don't transfer too much. I've never taken notice of how long they actually last but I know they last a good amount of time.

I love combining Tokyo with Istanbul, it's my favourite pink lip of all time!

That concludes my brand of the week post on NYX. I hope you enjoyed it and if you haven't tried NYX I suggest you give them a go. They're affordable plus have good quality products. I am yet to try their individual eyeshadows and blushes.

If you own any NYX products I would love to hear your opinions in the comments. Once again thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day/night :)
